Africa’s only Spanish-speaking country is among the least visited destinations on earth- but not for long! Its rainforests, fauna, and flora, are among the most biodiverse in the world. The east of the country is even home to a species of gorilla. Its idyllic beaches can easily compete with those in the Caribbean or Asia—the added bonus is that you will probably have the entire beach largely to yourself.  History and culture enthusiasts will not be disappointed either. The country has a rich colonial past.

The government, keen to unlock the country’s tourism potential, is working quickly to eliminate all obstacles in order to allow the tourism sector to flourish.

Opportunities in the tourism sector include:

  • New hotels and resorts
  • Ecotourism and safaris
  • Water sports
  • Improvement of transport infrastructure
  • Human resource development
